PrintWiz is the smallest and most versatile hand held tape “PRINT n SEAL” applicator on the market.

PrintWiz was invented in Cape Town, South Africa, at our manufacturing company Skeitex, where we saw the need for this concept in our own dispatch. It was designed primarily as an answer to the need for security at an affordable cost, when sealing cartons for goods in transit.

The idea of printing tape on the adhesive side was not new, but our unique (patented) printer enabled us to design a commercial applicator to be used as a mobile tape printer/sealer, so, it made the whole experience simple and easy. The inking cartridge system makes the printing very efficient and the replacement is clean and quick. The ability to change printed information by exchanging the printing wheel, allows the user to keep different print wheels for a quick exchange, one applicator could answer the need for multiple printing information.

Because the printing occurs on the adhesive side of the tape, there is no drying time necessary, the fresh ink creates an impression on the surface, should the tape be lifted, the imprint will remain as tamper evidence of unlawful entry. Replication of tape is impossible without the original applicator.

We went further and adapted our concept of tape printing to enable anyone to print his own customized packaging tape for, identification, promotion and at the same time also security. Anyone who is using pre-printed (customised) tape, could use our PrintWiz to enhance or authenticate his tape with last minute information, in other words, signing it off.
